CineVegas turned it up to 11 in 2009 for the most exciting, action-packed
and adrenaline filled Festival yet!

The Festival kicked off with the world premiere of Hue Rhodes' SAINT JOHN OF LAS VEGAS and ended with Bobcat Goldthwait's WORLD'S GREATEST DAD, and in between there were world premieres and advance screenings of independent films, documentaries and shorts.
The 11th annual fest was also highlighted by its legendary parties around the Vegas Strip, as well as unique outdoor screenings at Mandalay Bay Beach and Downtown Las Vegas. CineVegas also honored two of today's greatest actors - Jon Voight and Willem Dafoe - as well as underground directors George and Mike Kuchar. And the inaugural Planet Illogica Award for Excellence in New
Media was given to Jenova Chen and Kellee Santiago.
2009 featured one of the best film lineups in the Festival history, and the jury awarded some of the films that stood out the most - EASIER WITH PRACTICE and ALL IN: THE POKER MOVIE. Audiences also voiced their opinion and selected THE REVENANT as best narrative film, and WINNEBAGO MAN as best documentary. |
