LAS VEGAS FILM CRITICS PICK THEIR BEST OF 2008

The Las Vegas Film Critics Society has announced the winners for the its annual Sierra Awards, highlighting the best in film from 2008. FROST/NIXON picked up several awards, including Best Picture, Frank Langella for Best Actor, Ron Howard for Best Director and Peter Morgan for Best Screenplay. Other winners include Kate Winslet as Best Actress for her roles in two films – REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and THE READER, Heath Ledger as Best Supporting Actor in THE DARK KNIGHT and Marisa Tomei for Best Supporting Actress in THE WRESTLER.
The Society, now in its 12th year, is a non-profit, progressive organization dedicated to the advancement and preservation of film and is composed of selected print, television and internet film critics in the Las Vegas area. Click here for more info and for the complete list of winners.
